krishnaji: Truely Inspiring !

Krishnaji:
Pls accept this blog as a act of reverence for you.
Today you did something so subtle and yet so dignifying.

No wonder I am naming my son Krishna.

#######################Gory Details##########
A couple of months ago linksys India ran a campaign to offer linksys products (wireless routers/AP/WEb Cams/etc) at a discounted price for its employees.

I opted for one WRT-54G.

Incidentally Krishnaji also did opt for the same, but to {gift} for mutual friend of ours.
However, he forgot to place the order amidst his extremely hectic work schedules.

Now when MY device arrived, I informed the mutual friend about the same. He in turn inquired with Krishnaji.
Krishnaji, asked him to visit his (our) office and to pick it up and have a kinda of informal get together with us.

Its only on the day when the other friend was visiting our office, that i casually asked Krishanji, where was the friends Linksys device ?

To which he plainly said, he had forgotten and will order the same out of band ( I mean like a normal retail end user) and will just meet the friend and serve him some tea/snacks and let him go empty handed. He had placed the order for 1 WRT-54G and that would arrive in 2-3 days time, however, at higher price.

I asked Krishnaji, if we could let our mutual friend let MY device and he would replace it with the one that would arrive in 2-3 days time. That way we wouldn't disappoint the mutual friend.

BUT, I didn't know that Krishnaji happily paid such a huge price to KEEP his promise.
He paid Rs 400 more than the linksys Employee ONLY offer. That is a whopping 25% more to what I paid for.

Now I ask: Why ?
Couldn't he just plainly refuse to our mutual friend that he had forgotten and was SORRY ?

OR
Ask the friend to cough up for the incremental increase in price ?

No it seems, Krishnaji that he truly is: He said what matters more : Rs 400 or the relationship with the friend !!!!!

Hats off to you. No matter what, I am centuries away from doing what you did.
That was truly Krishnaji I must say.

Thank you for making my day.
I adore you.
